My goal is to help you achieve your goals.  I left a career as a mechanical engineer at a downtown Seattle engineering consultancy firm to become a full-time certified flight instructor.  In earning my various certifications, I attended flight schools in central Washington, Puyallup, San Diego, and finally at Rainier Flight Service.  I also spent some time as a ski instructor. From those experiences, I learned so much about what works and what doesn’t when it comes to learning how to pilot an aircraft safely.  It’s no accident that I chose to work at Rainier. 

The best flight instructors are always available to their students. As an instructor, I strive to meet my students’ needs, and I’m always available to them.  As a pilot, I know how exhilarating flying can be.  The thrill, exhilaration, satisfaction, confidence, and pride you earn as your skills improve will be like nothing you’ve known. 

When I’m not teaching, I keep myself busy pursuing my hobbies: skiing, working out, cooking, chocolate making, and kayaking.  I really hope I get the chance to meet you.
