Being born and raised in Boeing country, I’d like to think aviation is in my blood. Like many of my fellow colleagues, I found my passion for aviation at a young age. Growing up, I would never pass up a trip to the Museum of Flight, and to this day, I’ve always enjoyed watching the aircraft traffic arrive and depart from Sea-Tac. At the age of 11, I was lucky enough to fly up to the Skagit airport to see a PBY Catalina being restored. On this flight, the pilot let me take the controls once we had reached cruising altitude, and I’ve been hooked on aviation ever since.
I consider myself fortunate to have received flight training in the “old-school” method of maps and math, which I learned while flying aircraft built without any form of GPS. As an Instructor here at Rainier Flight Service, I hope to take the skills I’ve learned in those endeavors, and pass them on to the next generation of pilots. I aim to help my students become safe, strong, and competent aviators while flying the newer, technologically advanced aircraft.
When I’m not flying, I enjoy skiing, camping, off-roading, and tinkering with my Jeep. I’m also an avid flight simulator enthusiast, and sometimes just like to go plane watching at local airports. I’m very excited to meet you and help take your training to new heights!
