Jason Downing Bio
I remember being 13 years old when I first told my parents that I wanted to be a pilot when I grew up. After a few deviations, I joined the Army in 2013. A few years later in 2016, I graduated from Central Washington University and at that point, I selected to go to the Army Aviation Course at Fort Rucker located in Dale County, Alabama. While there, I earned a commercial rotary wing rating after learning to fly the LUH 72 "Lakota" and CH47F "Chinook" helicopters. Since then, I've fallen even more in love with aviation and have decided to continue pursuing further knowledge. I am currently earning a commercial license in fixed wing aircraft, with an end goal of someday working for a commercial airline company, such as Alaska Airlines.
In my free time, I love spending time with my wife and two Great Dane pups. We enjoy hiking and traveling to new places around the world.
