Leslie Bement Bio
Growing up in the shadow of Mount Rainier, I loved watching the various military aircraft that flew over my home. Then at age 9, when I stepped into a flight simulator at the Museum of Flight, the dream to fly was born. After several moves, I relocated from Texas in order to attend the University of Washington. Now a recent graduate, I am making my dreams of flight and working in aviation, a full time reality. I am excited to be a part of the team here at Rainier Flight Service, and cannot wait to help others turn their dreams of flight into a reality too. Now I am currently working towards my Private Pilot license. In the future, I hope to fly for the U.S Air Force Reserve and eventually join the National Park Service (or another DOI agency) as pilot.
In my spare time, I love hiking, climbing, rowing, and running half marathons. I'm also a self-proclaimed movie buff, so feel free to put my knowledge to the test next time you're at RFS!
Anyone who visits Rainer Flight Service is always greeted by outgoing, friendly, and helpful staff. Today was something over and above the usual superb customer service. I am a flight student at Rainier, and today I desperately needed scanned copies of my log book for a project. When I approached the front desk to ask for assistance Leslie stopped her work to carefully and precisely scan and email copies of my logbook to the very specific requirements I needed. She even followed up with me afterwards to confirm everything was exactly as I required. I have come to find this extraordinary level of customer service to be the high standard that all the staff at Rainier Flight Service provide. Today though, Leslie's immediate and complete attention to my request was much appreciated and turned out to be pivotal in helping me reach a deadline.
Thank you Leslie and all the staff at Rainier Flight Service!
