Hey! My name is Mikael, but I go by Micky. While I was born in Turkmenistan, early on I moved to a small farm north of the Siberian city of Novosibirsk. At the age of 11, I had the fortunate opportunity to move to America, specifically to Washington State.

My early days in the United States were spent adjusting to a new language and culture, and diving into school that same year. Eventually, I found the aviation program at Central Washington University (CWU). There, I felt both challenged and excited by school. That's where things really started to click for me. With some incredible instructors guiding me along the way, I found my passion soaring to new heights. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Aviation Professional Pilot and minors in Aviation Management and Geography

Outside of aviation, I enjoy spending my time in the kitchen cooking up something delicious, heading out to nature for a hike, or spending a day rock climbing in the beautiful PNW. I also can’t forget to mention my two cats, Toby and Salem. 

Overall, I am excited to be working at Rainier and sharing my passion for flying with others!
