I am proud to be from the PNW, I was born and raised in Sumner. My passion for flying came later in life. I initially pursued a career in firefighting and maintained a status as a volunteer firefighter for eight years while working at Mary Bridge Children’s hospital as an Emergency Department Technician. I thrive in a hands-on environment and enjoy giving back to my community. I began my journey toward becoming a pilot in 2018 after wanting a fresh start and change of pace. I completed a fast-track program with ATP in September 2019 at Tacoma Narrows Airport, achieving all certifications and ratings in a year. I took a small break as my wife, Paige, and I welcomed our first child, Payton, born in February 2020. Our family recently moved from North Tacoma to Graham to enjoy a more quiet, spacious property to raise our daughter. In my free time I enjoy most outdoor activities, going down to family property on the Toutle River and hunting and fishing, if I can find the time. I have found great value in becoming a pilot for the hands-on experience, various landscapes to see from the sky, the new people I have met and different challenges it brings. I am excited to be a part of the Rainier Flight Services team as a CFI and look forward to exploring the skies together.
