Expand Your Horizons: Multi Engine Rating Course
The Multi-Engine Rating brings the complexity and excitement of flying aircraft with increased performance and redundancy. At Rainier Flight Service, our course is designed to transition aviators to commercial operations, preparing you to fly more versatile and capable aircraft. Along with mastering multi-engine systems and procedures, you’ll train to perform maneuvers using Part 121 flows, profiles, and callouts, equipping you to manage the unique challenges of multi-engine operations.
Training is conducted in our late-model Piper Seminole, renowned as one of the safest and most efficient twin-engine training aircraft in the world. Featuring modern avionics, this aircraft provides an excellent platform for expanding your experience and preparing for the demands of commercial operations.
Enroll TodayThis course is divided into two stages:
Stage 1 - VFR Maneuvers
The first stage introduces multi-engine systems and procedures. You will learn flow patterns to use for normal and abnormal procedures supplemented by checklist management. This stage focuses on visual maneuvers and profiles.
Stage 2 - IFR Maneuvers
The second stage applies instrument profiles to multi engine aircraft. All flights are conducted as Line Oriented Flight Training (LOFT) scenarios to ensure successful transitioning to Part 135 or Part 121 operations.
To be eligible for a commercial pilot certificate, a person must:
